LIDO

Request Guest Information

On behalf of our Members and Owners, we are thrilled to welcome you to The Lido. A round at The Lido is a chance to connect with the history of strategy and challenge in golf design. Tom Doak and his team have meticulously recreated the C.B. Macdonald course that legendary writer Bernard Darwin pronounced in 1924 to be “the best in the world.”

The following information will help you plan for a memorable experience and a very special day at The Lido. The professional staff is here to assist you with any questions or needs you may have.

We look forward to hosting you at The Lido.

Welcome

The Lido is a private club operating in the tradition of other great clubs who pride themselves on sharing their courses and promoting the very best fellowship among all who love the game.

Arrival

Please plan to arrive at The Lido 30 minutes before your scheduled tee time.

Shuttles run regularly from the Sand Valley Clubhouse & The Lido and will drop you off at the Golf Shop, where you will meet a Lido staff member who will assist you with registration and provide any information specific to your day of play.

At the Lido

The Lido is a living tribute to the timeless traditions of golf, including respect for all players and lively conversation within groups.

We do not serve alcoholic beverages at The Lido and ask that you refrain from playing music during your round.

Caddies

Caddies are an integral part of the Lido experience and are a vital asset in maintaining pace of play and providing local knowledge. You will be introduced to your caddie upon your arrival. Suggested fees are $100 per bag plus gratuity and are paid in cash directly to the caddie. The club does provide a “Caddie Cash” option, where you may “charge” a Caddie Cash advance to your room.

Practice

There are no practice facilities at The Lido. Warm up at the Sand Valley warm-up area adjacent to Craig’s Porch and the first tee at Sand Valley.

Hickories

For a glimpse into how The Lido played at its beginning, rent a set of hickories and travel back in time. To inquire about a hickory set – and book a lesson prior to taking them to the course – contact The Lido golf staff.

Locker Room

Please arrive at The Lido ready for play, as lockers are unavailable at the Golf Shop. If you have items that require secure storage, please speak to a member of our staff, who will assist you.

Thank you for taking the time to prepare for your round by reading these guidelines.
Please feel free to email us with any additional questions or if we may be of further service.
