Dating back centuries, grass tennis courts were the original surface of the sport but now make up less than one percent of U.S. courts. Sand Valley’s 16 grass courts, nestled within Wisconsin’s dramatic sand dunes, offer a rare and authentic tennis experience.

Court Tennis is the original and oldest of all racquet sports dating back more than nine hundred years. It is sometimes called "the sport of Kings" as royals such as King Edward III and Henry VIII frequently played. More than 48 active courts are found worldwide, and Sand Valley officially marks the 13th court in the United States.

Throwing balls toward a target is the oldest game known to mankind. With incredible views over Mammoth Dunes’ 1st and 18th holes, take a trip back to 5000 B.C. and play on our two bocce courts. Also, we have bag toss boards available for use on the Karner Terrace.
